Vic was born September 29, 1959 in Portales, New Mexico.  He came to Lubbock Christian University in the fall of 1979 where he met his wife Carol (Ribble) Self. They were married August 22, 1981.

Vic is an assistant coach at LCU for the women’s basketball team.  Previously, he taught and coached for 28 years at Monterey High School. His wife, Carol, is a practicing CPA here in Lubbock. They have a son, Ryan who recently graduated with a Masters degree from the H.W. Bush School of Government at Texas A & M. Ryan grew up at Sunset and currently lives in Austin. 

Vic and Carol have been members at Sunset since 1979.  His favorite activity is running and his favorite food is Mexican food. Vic was appointed as an elder in October 2015.
